Immigration Attorney

The Immigration Attorney will manage a team of paralegals and handle a wide range of immigration matters including but not limited to: asylum, removal proceedings, family-based, and business immigration.
Responsibilities:
-
Help clients complete visa applications or other government forms
-
Assist clients with issues related to citizenship
-
Represent clients in immigration court proceedings and other legal proceedings related to immigration status
-
Drafting contracts related to international business transactions
-
Providing advice about how to obtain temporary visas
-
Provide legal representation for individuals facing deportation or removal from the United States
-
Assist non-citizens with issues related to family-based petitions, including translating documents and providing information about the application process
-
Advocate for clients in front of immigration judges or other government officials to help them obtain legal status in the US
-
Review clients’ records to identify any errors that may have occurred during previous applications or proceedings
REQUIREMENTS:
-
4+ years of experience in immigration law, either as an attorney or paralegal
-
Bar License is required
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Understanding of legal language and principles
-
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
-
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
-
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Fluency in foreign languages is a big plus

This individual will work closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to manage client communications, calendars, maintain accurate and complete records, prepare document package for filing with immigration offices, and handle other essential administrative tasks.
