Aigul Egemberdieva was born in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, and moved to the United States with her family five years ago. She holds a Law degree with honors from Kyrgyz State National University and a Master’s in Business Management with honors from Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. In the U.S., she earned an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts (English) from Northern Virginia Community College and completed the Financial Empowerment Center’s Career Up Workshop in Virginia.
Aigul brings over 15 years of legal experience, primarily in the banking and finance sector, having served as Head of Legal Departments at major institutions such as the National Bank of Pakistan, Finance Credit Bank, and Kompanion Commercial Bank. She also worked as a legal advisor for the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, focusing on international finance and cross-border compliance.
Fluent in English, Russian, and Kyrgyz, Aigul is deeply passionate about immigrant advocacy, cross-cultural understanding, and multilingual communication. Outside of her legal work, she enjoys creative writing and has received awards for essays and short stories in both English and Russian. She is also an avid runner and hiker.
